About the Act 101 Program
The Act 101/EOP Program:
Simply put, the Act 101/EOP provides access and support to help equalize educational opportunities for students who have been traditionally under-represented in higher education.

Admission to the Act 101/EOP Program:
The highest priority for admission to the program is reserved for applicants with a 750 or higher on the SAT, academic ranking in the upper half of their high school class, and a 94 percent or better attendance rate in high school. Students applying for admission must also submit a recommendation from a counselor or teacher describing how the student would benefit from being admitted into the program. Students must demonstrate potential for success at the university.

Academic Support in the Act 101/EOP Program:

Supportive services help integrate students into the college environment and enhance their potential for success. These services include developmental courses to enhance reading, writing and mathematical skills. Students also receive academic advising, counseling, and tutoring. In the computer lab students get the opportunity to develop math, writing, and reading skills through either computer-assisted programs or with a tutor. In addition to teaching courses that prepare students for success in college, faculty also tutor students on a one-to-one basis or within a group. The Developmental Instruction Lab provides an atmosphere for peer tutoring.
