Chi Alpha Epsilon
Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society:
The Chi Alpha Epsilon honor society is dedicated to the promotion of continued high academic standards, fostering communication among its members, and honoring academic excellence achieved by those students admitted to the university through developmental programs. Programs sponsored by the society encourage other students toward this accomplishment.

In the Spring of 1996, 22 academically outstanding individuals founded the Nu Chapter for Chi Alpha Epsilon. Bloomsburg's 22 founding members represent the greatest number of inductees admitted in a single ceremony among the society's 13 chapters at that time. Chi Alpha Epsilon was organized to recognize the achievements of students who were admitted to the university via developmental or higher education opportunity types of programs. Membership is open to full-time students who hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA for two consecutive semesters. Chi Alpha Epsilon was founded by Dr. Elbert Sadler at West Chester University in 1990.

Chi Alpha Epsilon members generally possess a positive self concept, have a realistic appraisal of their capabilities, understand and deal with racism appropriately, are comfortable with delayed gratification, have a strong support system, engage in leadership, care about the community they are a part of, and utilize and appreciate the knowledge they possess regardless of its origin.

If you meet the necessary qualifications and are interested in joining the Chi Alpha Epsilon honor society contact the Act 101/EOP office for further details.
