Check out the latest upcoming events at CCM during April and May:

CCM will be leading a mission trip to Moneague, Jamaica with the Mustard Seed Communities
from January 2-9, 2015. Is God calling you to join us? Email CCM for more information.

April 13-19: HOLY WEEK. See events below and also additional events at St. Columba Church!!!

April 18: Today is Good Friday, a day of prayer and fasting. Join us at 1pm at the Newman House
to bake bread, which we will eat together at 5:30pm also at the Newman House. On Good Friday
we honor the Passion and Death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. Our simple
meal of water and bread reminds us that just as wheat is crushed to make flour for bread, so was
Jesus bruised and crushed for our offenses as He hung upon the cross. His perfect sacrifice is a
reminder to us that when we are beaten down, God's power is so much greater, and triumphantly
raises us up.

April 19: This day, Holy Saturday, is marked by silence and solemnity as we contemplate the death
of Jesus.

April 20: Easter Sunday -- the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Since
many BU students are away this weekend, and many people choose to spend the day with family
and friends, there will NOT be a 6pm University Mass today. However, Easter Mass will take place
today at 8:00am and 10:30am at St. Columba Church. Happy Easter!!!

April 23: Come to the Newman House for Dollar Dinner at 5:30pm. This week's guest chefs are
from LGBTQA Student Services. Also, you are welcome to join us for daily Mass in the Newman
House Chapel
at 5pm. Then, following dinner (at around 6:15pm) stay for the Bible Mini-Series.
We'll be watching a clip from the popular History Channel production, The Bible, and then
discussing various aspects that touch upon our Catholic faith.

April 24: Join us today in the Newman House Chapel from 8 to 8:30pm for Eucharistic Adoration.
"Adoration" is an opportunity to pray silently before Jesus present in the consecrated host
(the Blessed Sacrament) exposed on the altar. This is meant to be a quiet time of personal
conversation between you and the Lord. Here's some more information about Adoration from
CCM at Notre Dame.

April 25: Stop by the Kehr Union Ballroom on campus between 9am and 2pm for the Wellness Fair.
CCM will have a table there representing spiritual health and well-being. Then at 3pm, come to the
Newman House Chapel for Mass in Spanish. No Spanish-speaking ability necessary, and all
people are welcome to attend. Mass will be celebrated in Spanish, with popular Hispanic Catholic
songs. After Mass, we'll have some great Latino food, followed by Salsa dancing lessons and fun!

April 26: Stop by the Newman House today between 1 and 3pm for an Open House. We'll be
welcoming in particular High School Juniors, who are visiting BU's campus today. Everyone is
invited to stop by though to make the Newman House your home!

April 27: University Mass (at St. Columba Church) at 6pm. At this Mass, we'll be welcoming a BU
student as a new member of the Catholic Church. She will be received into full communion with our
Church through reception of the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation. Following Mass,
we'll have a special reception in the social hall at St. Columba's to congratulate her. Also,
Confessions are held before each University Mass from 5:15 to 5:45pm in the Confessional in the
back of the church. Or, you can talk to or email Fr. Tim to schedule another time. Looking for a guide
to Confession
? You can print it out, pray with it, and bring it along.

April 29: Join us at CCM for our participation in a Charismatic Healing Mass at Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel, PA. We will leave the Newman House at 5:30pm. After arriving at the
church, Fr. Frank Karwacki (pastor) will explain to us what to expect in this special and unique type
of celebration. Mass and prayers for healing begin at 7pm. We will return to the Newman House by
9:30pm at the latest. All are welcome to join us. Please email Fr. Tim for further information.
Here's some more information about a Charismatic Mass with prayers for healing.

April 30: Come to the Newman House for Dollar Dinner at 5:30pm. This week's guest chefs are
from Ladies First. Also, you are welcome to join us for daily Mass in the Newman House
Chapel
at 5pm.

May 1 : The Leadership Team will meet from 9am to 12noon today at the Newman House for
Discernment Day. Please pray for us as we discern next academic year's student leadership.

May 4 : University Mass (at St. Columba Church) at 6pm. A special blessing will be given this
evening for all students graduating from BU this semster. This is the last University Mass of the
Spring Semester. The first University Mass of the Fall Semester at St. Columba's will take place
on Sunday, August 31st at 6pm.
Confessions are held before each University Mass from 5:15 to
5:45pm in the Confessional in the back of the church. Or, you can talk to or email Fr. Tim to schedule
another time. Looking for a guide to Confession? You can print it out, pray with it, and bring it along.

May 7 : Although there will not be Dollar Dinner tonight, come to the Newman House first for Mass at
5pm in the Newman House Chapel, and then for Exam Snacks at 5:30pm. This is a great way to
take a break from studying for finals, pray for a little, hang out for a bit, and have some "brain food".

May 9 : Gradutate Student Graduation.

May 10 : Undergraduate Student Graduation.

Congratulations to all our graduates. We'll truly miss you!!!
