Year 3: Institutionalization

The co-supervision of student teachers model  is being supported by funds from a Bloomsburg University College of Professional Studies Action Plan. Content area faculty who participate receive a stipend per student visit as well as reimbursement for travel expenses, and education faculty members receive professional development incentives. The focus this year is on student teachers located in a smaller geographic area including districts where there are Professional Development Schools.

Of the twenty secondary mathematics and science student teachers for the fall 2003 semester, eleven received feedback from both education and content faculty members.

Of the twenty-six student teachers in math and science for the spring 2004 semester, ten experienced co-supervision visits from university education, mathematics, and science professors.
