Year 4: Institutionalization

Nineteen secondary education mathematics and science student teachers were provided with feedback on pedagogy and accuracy of content knowledge during the co-visits of education and mathematics and science faculty members.  The focus this year continues to be on student teachers located in a smaller geographic area including districts where there are Professional Development Schools.

This co-supervision of student teachers model is supported by funds from a Bloomsburg University College of Professional Studies Action Plan.  Content area faculty who participate receive a stipend per student visit as well as reimbursement for travel expenses, and education faculty members receive professional development incentives.   An action plan has been written for the 2005-06 year to continue this successful CETP-PA initiative.
