Co-Supervision of Student Teachers

2007-2008
Dr. Shelley Randall, Secondary Education, Project Director

Shelley Randall

The co-supervision of secondary mathematics and science student teachers by education, mathematics and science faculty members continues for the 2007-08 academic year.  A total of 3 student teachers were co-visited by BU faculty members and provided with feedback on pedagogy and accuracy of content knowledge.  Originally funded by two National Science Foundation Collaborative for Excellence in Teacher Preparation in Pennsylvania (CETP-PA) Level II funding grants, followed by Action Plans funded at the university level, this initiative continues through funding by the College of Professional Studies.  Shelley C. Randall, Professor in the Department of Educational Studies and Secondary Education, continues to be the coordinator of this program, designed to better prepare student teachers in teaching mathematics and science at Bloomsburg University.
