FIRST ANNUAL STUDENT SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS CONFERENCE
The First Annual Central Pennsylvania Regional Student Science & Mathematics Conference (in conjunction with the Kappa Mu Epsilon New England/Great Lakes Regional Convention) was held in the Kehr Union Building of Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, PA on October 17-18, 2008.
This regional conference
gave the students in the math and sciences an excellent opportunity to not
only present their materials but to also meet students from other
universities and colleges who were interested in the same types of math and
science.
Registration for the conference was $15 for faculty and $5 for students. The dinner immediately preceding Dr. Morris' talk cost $12 and a bagged lunch on 10/18 was available for a cost of $5. Costs for student speakers were waived.
The Keynote speaker for this event was Dr. Brent Morris who gave his wonderful rendition of Magic Tricks, Card Shuffling and Dynamic Computer Memories on October 17, 2008.
