Student Committee List

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

Hosted by SCEC of Bloomsburg University

Theme: Jungle

Begins around 10am and ends around 5:00pm

 
•SET UP 
  • Friday October 26th 
           Will need help setting up:
                    Courts
                    Olympic Village
                    Lobby
                    Decorations
  • Saturday  Oct 27th around 8am

  • Take down begins after Bash is over till finished.

    •Will occur after event is complete
    • Usually takes about 1-2 hours
    • Since there is no definite end time, sign up for another opportunity later in the day as well as take down and just stay.
    • The more people that sign up to help, the quicker and easier take down will be!!

 

Volunteers are needed! If you are interested in getting a t shirt you must volunteer for minimum of two hours. Bring your ID! We will keep it until you leave. Email the specific volunteer activities leader to let them know you are interested.

REMEMBER

We are here for the ATHLETES!

• No Cell Phones!
• No Swearing! Appropriate Language at ALL TIMES!
• Must bring student ID! We will keep till you leave!
• There will be Evaluators watching our every move so BEST behavior is EXPECTED!
• If you plan on volunteering, there is a MANDATORY volunteer meeting on November 6, 2006! You will be signing behavior contracts, we don’t want to have to ask anyone to leave the event!
 

 

Opening/Closing Ceremonies-

• Help needed before event date

•Need 3-5 volunteers yet
•Help set up and serve lunch to athletes and volunteers

Hospitality
•Need about 15 volunteers yet
• 2 Volunteers assigned to each county
• Will be their “hosts” for the day
• Show them to lunch, cheer for the athletes etc.

 Olympic Village
•Will help set up Olympic Village
•Will run a game table and help athletes complete the game.
•This is a fun times for the athletes between games. Need to be enthusiastic. You are there for the athletes so give them your full attention!

Line Judges
• Need 11 volunteers yet, required to stay all day
• Will be assigned to one court (will have at least 15 minutes between each game)
• Will signal when athlete faults
• Questions: Lyndi Nolte lanolte@bloomu.edu 
 Score Keepers
• Need 2 volunteers yet, required to stay all day
• Will be assigned to one court (will have at least 15 minutes between each game)
• One will keep score, one will keep time.
