Will acquaint you with available grants from the University as well as an overview of the workings of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. We will discuss general guidelines for grants, submission procedures, due dates and where to get information on external grants.

Learn the procedures for submitting a proposal through the OR&SP to an outside agency. Changes in the requirements of right to know and record-keeping will be explained and the new forms associated with these changes.
Thur., 10/22/09, 12:30-1:30 PM, MCHS 1231 (TALE Center) Workshop #3: Grant Budget Management
Will discuss information that must be included in your proposal budget and how to locate this information. You will also learn how to manage your budget once you receive a grant and how to get information about your funds from SAP.
Thur., 11/05/09, 12:30-1:30 PM, MCHS 1231 (TALE Center) Workshop #4: IRB/IACUC Procedures
Review new procedures and requirements for the Institutional Review Board including different types of events, when an IRB review is needed, paperwork to be filed, and the direction that the committee will take in the future.
