Hello! My name is Kathy Kollar-Valovage and I am the director of Bloomsburg University's Presidential Leadership Program. Most students know us as, "PLP".
This site
showcases our students and the great work they do, both on and off campus. We have a longstanding tradition of community service dating back to 1995.
Our site also serves as a resource for incoming students, parents, current students and alumni. We maintain a picture archive of our activities so you can see for yourselves the great things PLPs are doing.
Once you've accepted the initial scholarship from Admissions, you're automatically a member of the Presidential Leadership Program. You are then eligible to live together with the other PLP students in our Living-Learning Community. Students find that living with other student leaders who have similar interests and leadership experiences from high school is quite fun. Actually, I'm told time and again that choosing to live with the other PLPs was one of the best decisions made during freshman year because they were surrounded by people like them, with similar interests and study habits.
In addition to advising the Presidential Leadership Program, I am BU's Assistant Director of Housing for Conference Services
and University Testing. I can be of assistance with your questions in these areas as well. My office is located on the ground floor of Elwell Residence Hall, room G15 within the Residence Life Office. When you're on campus, please drop in!
Have a great year!
Kathy
