Some regularly held events in the KUB are complex, requiring heightened attention; and every effort should be made to begin setting the events as soon as possible in order to reduce last minute stressors, and help to ensure a non-problematic event.
Below are examples of events and descriptions of why they are considered to be complex.
These types of events usually have one, more, or all of the following characteristics: Lighting (theatrical/house), Live Sound, Video, Sound Checks and rehearsals, Multiple performers, soloists, duets, group performers, lip sync, dances and dance groups, Audio/Video/Lighting Cues, DJs, constant attention to what's happening, thinking about what might/could happen, Live Judging, Last minute changes/additions (before/during the event), great-to-poor communication from Event Coordinators to KUB staff, Integrates non-KUB equipment, Quick changes.
