Presentation PC & Projector

Basic Information

This is a COMBINATION of a computer AND projector. This system contains the following equipment enclosed in a mobile presentation cart:

  1. An HP Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise;
  2. Blu-Ray player (will play DVDs)
  3. Optima short-throw projector
    • Available auxiliary audio/video inputs include: one VGA (Computer #2) & stereo audio; one component video & stereo audio.
  4. One wireless keyboard, one wireless mouse, and one wireless presentation mouse.

Setup Considerations

  1. Standard setup includes sound and wireless (bloomu-secure) internet connectivity. If reserved room(s) have no installed sound system, projector 20 Watt internal speakers will be used for sound. If reserved room(s) have installed sound system, the system will be connected to the room sound system.
  2. If connecting a laptop to the Ballroom video inputs, you may need a cable that has a display port connection on one end (for the laptop) and an HDMI connection on the other end (for the AV wall connection). The ends of this cable is labeled accordingly. These cables are stored on the cable wall with the HDMI cables.
  3. Do not unplug anything from the front of the projector. Nothing! If someone has a laptop and want to connect to the projector, use the VGA input on the (left) side of the cart. Scroll through to the VGA input on the projector input button.
  4. Leave all of the adjustable feet on the bottom of the projector all the way down. There no reason to adjust them.
  5. To adjust focus: Push/pull the small white lever on the right side of the projector.

Troubleshooting

  1. Troubleshooting PC Sound
  2. Troubleshooting PC Video/Projection
  3. The computer may not automatically turn on their external video port when a projector is connected. Usually a key combination like FN + F8 or CRT/LCD key turns the external display on and off. Locate a function key labeled CRT/LCD or function key with a monitor symbol. Press FN and the labeled function key simultaneously.
